NYSERDA Recognizes PAC Center for Energy Performance


The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has awarded Monroe County a High Performance Building Plaque for MCC's PAC Center.

NYSERDA recognized the PAC Center for exceeding energy efficiency greater than 30% above New York state’s conservation construction code. The PAC Center was applauded for its many sustainable design features including its optimal energy performance; use of renewable and green electricity; and use of recycled materials.

The PAC Center has also received several other accolades including a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) “Gold Certification” by the U.S. Green Building Council; a 2010 American Council of Engineering Companies of New York “Silver  Award” for structural systems; and 2009 American Public Works Association (APWA) New York State Chapter and Genesee Valley Branch “Project of the Year Awards for Structures.
