Submit your course revisions for SUNY General Education!

At long last!

The course form in Kuali is set up to accept gen ed proposals and our processes are in place.  Proposers are now able to submit course revisions requesting SUNY general education designations. Please see the attached pdf for written instructions, as well as the video at this link:  https://ensemble.itec.suny.edu/Watch/MCC_GenEdCourseRevision . The written instructions contain a few more details than the video, so please be sure to at least read that.

Proposals should be submitted only when it is necessary to revise a course to meet the new SUNY outcomes in a category (Communication, for example) or if you are requesting a brand new desgination (DEISJ, for example). Do NOT submit proposals if you are rolling over your designations for SUNY - Arts, Foreign (World) Languages, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or Social Sciences. Those will be batch loaded by Kuali. Please wait until those are loaded before adding a second gen ed to any of those courses (if the College community decides to allow two).

Note that only SUNY gen ed categories are listed in the form.  If the College community decides to continue requiring VE & HW, those will be added to the form.

The Faculty Senate Curriculum Committe will continue to meet until mid June, so we might be able to get some proposals through our workflow before summer.  We will pick up in earnest in September and work through the course proposals as efficiently as possible.
