Fully Online Faculty Training in ANGEL!

SLN has just developed SLN201: Online Course Development to help faculty create high-quality online courses.  This training is completely online and asynchronous, and covers the content of SLN’s face-to-face workshops1-5 for new course development.

Faculty need permission from an MCC Instructional Designer (ID) to participate in this training and to ensure this, only an ID can register the faculty member for this course.

The time spent in SLN201 is aimed at furnishing faculty with the knowledge and skills they will need to maximize the time they spend in course development.  There are 3 modules in the course and each module will require 6-8 hours of participation stretching over 2 week intervals.

Fall 2010 Development Cycle

Calendar of modules:
Module 1: April 15th to April 30th
Module 2: June 1st to June 16th
Module 3: July 20th to August 1st

For each module, faculty are expected to:
    * participate actively in discussions;
    * interact with the content (text, videos);
    * complete all assignments/quizzes;
    * ask any questions they may have about this course, teaching online, or course design.

If you are interested in participating in this online ANGEL training, please contact Mary Hallett at: "mailto:mhallett@monroecc.edu" or Martha Kendall at: "mailto:mkendall@monroecc.edu" as soon as possible.
