ETS Brown Bag Lunch Sessions for December

Educational Technology Services invites MCC Faculty, Staff and Administration to the following Brown Bag Lunch Sessions in December.

Sessions take place during COLLEGE HOUR (12-1pm) in ROOM 11-109 unless otherwise noted.
These sessions discuss a variety of technology topics. No registration is required – just show up!

MONDAY, DECEMBER 1
VC50

With over 1,300 classroom computers now running under Virtual Campus v5.0 (VC50), here’s an opportunity to hear what it’s all about. This session will provide both general and technical information on what the Virtual Campus system is, its goals in an academic learning environment, the VC50 toolbox, how the whole thing works, and future plans. Facilitated by Rick Grakowsky, ETS Communications and Network Services. Please feel free to e-mail Rick in advance at <mailto:rgrakowsky@monroecc.edu> if there are any specific topics that you would like covered.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3
PDAs

PDA’s are becoming more and more popular everyday. They are useful in many different ways - from reading email on the go, to watching a movie, or listening to music. Attend this Brown Bag session to hear what PDA’s are all about, common uses, and examine a few of the different models that are available. Even if you already have a PDA, you may still want to attend this session to learn new ways to use it or to find something else that would better suite your needs. Facilitated by Tracy Flansberg, ETS Communications and Network Services.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10
Mail Services at MCC

This Brown Bag session will give you an overview of how MCC’s Mail Services can help you to more efficiently prepare your mail to take advantage of postal discounts. The following topics will also be covered: automation compatible mail, proper addressing techniques, and outgoing package services. Please join us! Facilitated by Carol Battles and Joan Smith, ETS Communications and Network Services.
