Windows 7: Coming Soon to a PC Near You

In preparation for the Fall semester, ETS will be rolling out Microsoft’s new Operating System, Windows 7, to all Smart Classrooms, Electric Learning Centers (ELC) and in the Office and Computer Programs (OCP) labs.   In addition, redeployed office computers, new PCs and laptops delivered over the summer will have the new Windows 7 Operating System and Office 2007 Suite installed.

ETS will be scheduling overview sessions for Windows 7 during August and September.  However, if you would like to learn more about the Windows 7 Operating System now, we recommend the following options.

A reference manual and EZ Reference card are available at the following location:

M:/MCC/Digital Resources/EZRef\Microsoft Windows/Windows 7

A second resource is on the Microsoft site
https://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/default.aspx

If you would like to upgrade your office computer to Windows 7, please call the ETS Call Center at extension 4357, Option 1 to request a review of your computer’s specifications to see if your PC is capable of supporting Windows 7 and schedule the upgrade.
