Save the Date – College-wide discussion of Academies Model!

Mark your calendars and save the date for a college-wide discussion of the Roadmap Academies Model. This is your opportunity to provide input, ideas and raise important questions as this college wide model is developed.

Faculty, professional staff and support staff are all encouraged to participate!

Join a college-wide discussion on January 17, from 8:30am – 1:30pm in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center (Monroe A).

Chances are you have heard about the Roadmap Academies Project – an AAC&U project that will create personalized pathways for students from entry into MCC through their academic pursuits, to goal completion. Within the Academy model students are grouped by academic interest and they participate in mandatory orientation, required high-impact learning experiences and are monitored with an early alert system while faculty and staff work in collaborative teams to support student success.

Everyone at the college is invited to attend this open discussion to learn more and to have a voice at the table. Phase I of the project is underway and the first “academy students” will be arriving Fall 2015– this is your opportunity to hear the most recent updates and to  share your input on building and implementing this innovative model.

A light breakfast and lunch will be served.  The attached document provides a definition of academies; additional information will be forthcoming.

RSVP to <
mailto:nsoregi@monroecc.edu> if you plan to attend.  We hope to see you there
