New Password Policy

As Yogi Berra clearly states, “The future ain’t what it used to be.”  MCC will soon implement a campus password policy.  Why is MCC implementing a password policy?  The answer is simple.  To protect the college’s information as well as your information.  There are too many passwords that are very simple to guess.  Once the password is compromised your information and that of the college is at risk.  This includes access to your email, your personal storage, and any departmental storage you have access to.

On November 19, 2007, you will be asked to change your logon password to a new password in accordance with the new password policy.

What does my stored data have to do with protecting the college?  Read more tomorrow...
