Konar Foundation, Holocaust Project Host Documentary 'KZ'


The Konar Family Foundation and the Holocaust Genocide Studies Project at MCC have co-sponsored the documentary film "KZ" as part of the Rochester Jewish Film Festival. The film will be shown on Tuesday, July 10 at 6:15 pm at the Little Theatre (240 East Avenue). Professor Charlie Clarke, Psychology, will introduce the film which focuses on the town of Mauthausen, Austria and how its residents and tourists regard the town in modern times. The concentration camp at Mauthausen was considered among the fiercest camps to be built during the Holocaust.

Howard Konar is chair elect of the MCC Foundation and chair of the Holocaust Genocide Studies Project. Clarke serves as director of the project.

The Rochester Jewish Film Festival will run Sunday, July 8 - Sunday, July 15. To find out more about the festival and its featured films, please visit https://www.jccrochester.org. Tickets may be purchased through the Jewish Community Center (461-2000). Remaining tickets to "KZ" will be available 30 minutes prior to show time at the Little Theatre #1 Box Office. (Cost: $8 - 10.)
