Request Forms for the Gupta Family Fund Now Available

If you know an MCC student dealing with personal hunger and economic issues, he or she may be eligible for food vouchers made possible by the Hunger Among College Students in America: The Gupta Family Fund for Students. The fund was made possible by a $24,503 gift from Uma G. Gupta, Ph.D. and her family to the Monroe Community College Foundation in 2009.

The fund will provide food vouchers to MCC students with demonstrated financial needs. The vouchers range from $50 to $250 in value and may be used at Aramark’s MCC locations. Any full-time MCC student with a minimum of 2.5 GPA, a demonstrated financial need, faculty or counselor referral, and a completed Food Voucher Request is eligible to apply. Students are encouraged to read the complete description of scholarship to determine if they meet qualifications.

Food Voucher Request Forms are now available in the following locations:

Brighton Campus
Counseling and Advising Center (1-231)
Financial Aid Office (6-207)

Damon City Campus
Student Services Center (5252)

The form is also attached below. Please note: Counselors in MCC’s Counseling and Advising Center and the Damon City Campus Student Services Center are trained to help students deal with personal challenges and issues such as hunger and economics. If you have any questions, please contact Peggy Harvey-Lee, Counseling and Advising Center, at x2252.
