Joe Richardson Memorial Scholarship Fund

The college community was notified in the Daily Tribune article of 1/30/04 of the passing of Admissions Counselor Joseph P. Richardson on January 29, 2004, following a prolonged illness.

Joe was a wonderful example of an MCC success story.  He obtained his GED, attended MCC, and graduated with an A.S. degree in Business Administration.  He earned his B.S. degree in Management from St. John Fisher College and earned an M.P.A. degree from SUNY Brockport.  In 2001, Joe returned to MCC and joined the Admissions Office staff.

A Joe Richardson Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established through the MCC Foundation.  Joe had a great interest in adult students who received their GED and returned to college, and the scholarship fund will target students in this population.

Those wishing to make a contribution to the Joe Richardson Memorial Scholarship Fund can do so through the MCC Foundation by either directing their contribution to the MCC Foundation, Damon City Campus, 228 East Main Street, Rochester, New York 14604, or participating through payroll deduction.

If you have any questions, please contact the Foundation at 292-1500 or the Admissions Office at 292-2200.
