Nationwide Mathematics Contest to be held on Wednesday

If an MCC student you know is enrolled this semester either full-time or part-time, and has not taken any mathematics courses above the level offered at MCC, please encourage them to consider representing MCC in this year's nationwide contest for two-year college students. It is an opportunity for personal and school recognition. Prizes are awarded for top scorers in the nation. Also, the top scorer from MCC will be recognized at the MCC Awards Banquet in May.

Questions are mostly multiple choice with occasional short answer questions, and can be solved using mathematics at the pre-calculus level.

It's fun and only takes an hour of your students' time!

AMATYC Contest (American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges):

Come to room 8-300 on Wednesday, October 23 from 11:55 a.m. to 12:55 p.m. to participate in the contest.

For a sneak preview of what to expect: old contest exams are available for your review at the table near the door in 11-204.
