On Wednesday, Feb. 16, acclaimed documentary filmmaker Byron Hurt will present “Understanding Culture through Alternative Methods of Expression” at the Damon City Campus at noon.
At 7 p.m. that evening, Hurt will discuss his award-winning documentary, “Beyond Beats and Rhymes” in MCC’s Brighton Campus Theatre. He will also be detailing his newest project – a documentary that focuses on soul food, nutrition and wellness in communities of color entitled, “Soul Food Junkies.” Hurt’s presentation will feature clips from both films. A question and answer session will immediately follow.
Please note: Although the evening event is free for MCC students, faculty and staff, tickets are required. Tickets are available online at <"http://www.monroecctickets.com">, at the Campus Center Service Desk in the Flynn Campus Center and at the DCC bookstore. Tickets for the general public are $7.
