Representatives from Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Strong Health, ViaHealth, Unity Health System, Preferred Care and IDE Radiology were on campus Thursday, Nov. 11 to celebrate their combined commitment of $624,000 to expand Monroe Community College’s Radiologic Technology program.
The effort is a direct response to the radiological technologist shortage that is impacting health care in Rochester and across the country. As a result, the number of associate degree graduates from the Radiological Technology program will increase by about 35 percent (i.e., 12 more graduates) per year.
