Just a reminder that the Diversity Council is pleased to announce the availability of funds allocated by the vice presidents for the 2008-09 academic year to support learning and activities that enhance our knowledge, awareness, and appreciation of diversity,
The Direction Six (Responding to Fiscal Challenges) Subcommittee of the Diversity Council has established a process to apply for these funds similar to the process for awarding internal Strategic Planning and Foundation Awards. The Direction Six Committee will review applications for activities that support diversity and inclusiveness and recommend awards from the available funds.
While all applications will be considered, special emphasis is being placed on awarding funds to support initiatives related to two key areas of the Strategic Plan:
Building Upon Human Capital
Enhancing our Physical environment.
The deadline date for application submission is June 13, 2008.
