Registration closing soon for April 2 Safe Zone Training
Here is a friendly reminder that Tuesday, March 30, is the last day to register for the April 2 Safe Zone Training.
Do you create a safe and welcoming classroom environment for LGBTQ+ students? Is your office inclusive for the LGBTQ+ community at MCC?
The Teaching and Creativity Center, in partnership with The Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, will offer online Safe Zone training on Friday, April 2, from 1:00-3:00 PM.
Dina Giovanelli [AHPS], a trained Safe Zone facilitator, will lead this interactive and informative workshop about purposefully creating welcoming and inclusive spaces at MCC.
No experience or expertise necessary. Come to learn.
This training is free and open to all MCC faculty and staff. Registration is required by March 30. Please use this link to register.

Have you taken Safe Zone Training in the past? Language changes over time, as does an understanding of the complexities of human identities and sexualities. Here is an opportunity to stay up-to-date, with the most recent research and examples, in order to support your students and colleagues.
**Unable to attend the April 2 training? There will be another offered on Friday, June 4, as part of the 2021 June Teaching & Learning Conference. Details for that will be announced after the April session.**
