The LeRoy V. Good Library (Brighton campus) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting an art exhibit this Wednesday, May 11, at both 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm. MCC art student Shanamarie (Shay) Lawhorn will be exhibiting “Truth Serum: A Solo Exhibit” on the 4th floor of the library, outside of room 2-452. Please join us for this wonderful opportunity to support one of our own students and be part of her educational and artistic endeavors.
As a Rochester native Shay is an abstract expression artist who is currently living in Upstate New York. Working primarily with acrylic, her mixed media works combine a sense of emotion with a mixture of vivid colors, illustration and textures to create a unique energy on canvas. Her works have been showcased in the NUMiNOUS magazine, the Coffee Art Project: New York City Coffee Festivals in 2015 and also can be seen world-wide on Artfinder. Shay contributes much of her inspiration to the emotional side of colors and how they evoke.
