<p>1. Congratulated Board Chair Emerita Dr. Alice Holloway Young as a recent recipient of the New York State Senate&rsquo;s Liberty Medal as presented by Senator Samra Brouk (55th Senate District).</p>

<p>2. Accepted the MCC annual audit for the fiscal year ended August 31, 2020, as conducted by Bonadio &amp; Co., LLP. (Bonadio representatives presented the audit at the March 2021 Board of Trustees meeting.)</p>

<p>3. Accepted the College&rsquo;s interim financial report as of February 28, 2021.</p>

<p>4. Authorized the purchase of items over $20,000 as listed for the month of February 2021.</p>

<p>5. Authorized the Chair of the Finance and Facilities Committee or the Chair of the Board of Trustees to approve budget transfers on behalf of the Board through the end of the budget year August 31, 2021.</p>

<p>6. Approved the appointment of Department Chairs for the Academic Year 2021-22, each to receive an annual stipend in accordance with provisions of the current agreement with the Faculty Association. (See separate <a href="https://www.monroecc.edu/mccannou.nsf/All+Current+Listings+By+Date/72044CA197630740852586B20049DDC9?OpenDocument">article</a>.)</p>

<p>7. Approved the promotions of an Associate Professor and Assistant Professors effective September 1, 2021. (See separate <a href="https://www.monroecc.edu/mccannou.nsf/All+Current+Listings+By+Date/7B9613852E241A5E852586B20068156E?OpenDocument">article</a>.)</p>

<p>8. Adjusted the 2021-2022 base annual salaries of faculty members in accordance with Article 47 of the current contractual agreement with the Faculty Association; adjusted salaries effective September 1, 2021.</p>

<p>9. Approved the following changes to the Faculty Senate Bylaws: incorporation of inclusive pronouns, replacement of the term &ldquo;non-teaching staff&rdquo; with &ldquo;professional staff&rdquo; in the document, and adoption of the amendments as listed below, effective upon approval by the Board of Trustees:</p>

<li>Article VI (Section 1C, 3a and Section 2A)</li>
<li>Article VIII (Section 1A, 1D (1), and Section 2)</li>

<p>10. Elected Allen K. Williams as Board Chair and Daniel M. DeLaus, Jr. as Board Vice Chair to serve until the next annual meeting of the Board and/or until their successors have been elected and qualified.</p>

<p>11. Recognized Dr. Barbara P. Lovenheim for her outstanding leadership of the Board since 2017. (Dr. Lovenheim announced that she was stepping down as Board chairperson at the March Board of Trustees meeting.)</p>

<p>12. Recognized MCC Interim President Dr. Katherine Douglas for her extraordinary service and approved the naming of the lobby leading to the LeRoy V. Good Library as the Dr. Katherine P. Douglas Portico in her honor.</p>

News from the April MCC Board of Trustees Budget Workshop and Meeting

Following a budget workshop that went into executive session, the MCC Board of Trustees met virtually on Monday, April 12, 2021 and took the following actions:
