MCC Daily Tribune

Don't get caught by phishing!

Over the past few weeks we have seen an uptick in phishing emails that appear to be sent from an internal MCC colleague and often contain a malicious attachment and/or link. In a new twist, the attackers are using information from the MCC directory to make it look like they are replying to a message you supposedly sent to them.

Although it is not always the case, most of these emails contain the warning that the email came from outside of MCC. If you see that, then you can be confident that it did NOT come from an MCC email account, and you should simply delete the email. Do not open attachments or click on links.
