This semester the MCC Peer Advisors are working on a community service project to aid the people in need at the Open Door Mission in downtown Rochester. The Mission is in big need of toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, deodorant, diapers, and children's clothing (new or gently used).
Would you and your office like to help? Maybe set up a collection box in your office to collect one or two of the items mentioned above?
Also, peer advisors are going around campus with a collection jar for people to donate any loose change they might have in order to purchase some of these items. So far over $300.00 has been raised. But, to make this project a success they will need so much more.
