Children’s Author Lois Lowry Comes to MCC Tomorrow


Don’t miss the chance to meet a living literary legend!  Lois Lowry, acclaimed author of more than thirty-five children’s books and two-time winner of the prestigious Newbery Award, will speak at MCC on Wednesday, 10/21.  Lowry is celebrated for challenging readers of all ages to actively question themselves, their communities, and their responsibility to one another.  Her works span several genres and include The Giver, Gossamer, Number the Stars, and the Anastasia Krupnick series.

Reading and book signing:   Wednesday, October 21st
Noon and 7pm (noon presentation not open to the public)
MCC Theatre, Building 4
Free to MCC students, faculty, and staff.  $10.00 general public.  Tickets are required and are available at www.monroecctickets.com, at the Campus Center Service Desk in the R. Lowry’s visit kicks off this year’s Visiting Scholar Series and is co-sponsored by the Creative Arts Committee and the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project.
