ITC Audioconference - "Soup to Nuts: How to Create and Sustain a Successful eLearning Program"

MCC will host the Instructional Technology Council's audioconference entitled, " Soup to Nuts: How to Create and Sustain a Successful eLearning Program" with presenter Lynda Womer, Associate Provost, eCampus at St. Petersburg College.  The audioconference is scheduled for Tuesday, September 27 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. and will be held in 7-333.  Presentation summary: St. Petersburg College has enjoyed spectacular success building and growing its eCampus program. Despite plenty of setbacks and surprises, the college now understands and appreciates that certain fundamental ingredients are significant building blocks necessary for success. Participants will experience the building of an online program, including many areas that have been thoroughly researched and implemented. Womer will discuss student-centered Web sites and services, faculty training models, faculty mentoring, program service standards including virtual office hours, class size and pay issues, student surveys and the introduction of "signature" course models. In 2004 St. Petersburg College received ITC’s Award for Outstanding Distance Education Program.
