Thousands of people recently travelled to Rochester to participate in The National Society of Black Engineers’ (NSBE) Fall Regional Conference. Among the throngs of college students, pre-college students, and professionals were 22 members of MCC STEP’s NSBE Jr. chapter.
MCC’s pre-college NSBE Jr. members took part in hands-on experiences that gave them the opportunity to learn how they will have the opportunity to affect the world outside of their own community. This was in line with the conference theme, “Engineering a Global Impact.”
In addition to workshops, students participated in a college & career fair, took part in a meeting with all of the NSBE and NSBE Jr. groups from our region, and attended a black tie banquet.
