Public Safety has a new home!

This past weekend, the Department of Public Safety moved its administrative offices into its new location on the first floor of Building 21, Room 140.  The move, originally scheduled to occur over Winter Recess, occurred earlier than expected due to the completion of construction and the availability of movers.  Building 21 is the Facilities Building located on Residence Lane near parking lots E and F, adjacent to the Residence Halls.

Please let me assure you that the location of Public Safety administrative offices will have no impact on the safety and security of the College community. We remain committed to providing prompt, professional and courteous service.  To that end, Public Safety officers and guards will remain dutifully present throughout the campus as they currently are deployed.

Public Safety emergency and non-emergency telephone numbers, as well as staff extensions, will all remain the same.  Please call 585-292-2911 in the event of an emergency or if you need assistance on the Brighton Campus or Applied Technology Center.  You may also call our non-emergency dispatch number at 585-292-2912 for general assistance.  Our dispatch center operates 24/7/365.

In addition, the Office of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) moved to its new office located on the second floor of Building 21, Room 230.  As with Public Safety, all telephone numbers remain the same.  EH&S may be reached by calling 585-292-3150.

At this time, the Parking Services office will remain in its current location in Building 7, Room 341.  The Public Safety Dispatch office, located on the second floor of Building 1 at the College’s main entrance, is scheduled to move in a few weeks.  More information about that move will be provided in the near future.

Please feel free to contact the Public Safety administrative number, 585-292-2902, if you have questions about our recent move or concerns regarding Public Safety operations in general.

Thank you,

Sal Simonetti
