October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

This October, as we recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we have three events to highlight.

First, there will be a flag display on the Brighton Campus near East Henrietta Road from October 4th - October 8th. This display is sponsored by Willow Domestic Violence Center and highlights the number of individuals in our community impacted by domestic violence.

Second,  RESTORE Sexual Assault Services will be on the Brighton Campus in the Terrace (outside the Marketplace) from 11 am - 1 pm on Wednesday, October 6th.

Third is a virtual program offered by RESTORE Sexual Assault Services. On Wednesday, October 13th from 12 - 12:50 PM, Julia from RESTORE will be hosting a Grey's Anatomy themed domestic violence workshop. Watch clips from the show and discuss how domestic violence presents in the show and how the characters are impacted. We will also cover local and MCC resources for those experiencing domestic violence. All are welcome, even if you haven't seen Grey's Anatomy!
