Voluntary Furlough Program - Program Information, FAQs, and Application

As a follow up to the Voluntary Furlough Program (VFP) discussed at the President's Town Hall meeting on Friday, June 12, please find the attached documents:

  1. Program document
  2. Frequently Asked Questions document
  3. Application (For information purposes only; official application will be posted in myMCC under Employees > Employee Essentials > Human Resources.)

In light of the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the College community, and other fiscal constraints such as declining enrollment and uncertain state and local funding, the College is implementing a voluntary furlough program from June 29, 2020 through July 26, 2020.

Eligibility for participation is based on the ability to perform available work as outlined in the program document.

The VFP is a cost saving measure and an attempt to minimize the potential need for further employment actions, such as mandatory furloughs, salary reductions, and/or layoffs while still fulfilling the College's educational mission.

The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday, June 24.

Please note: To request Microsoft Word versions of the attached documents, please email klowe5@monroecc.edu.
