RTS Updates

RTS is in week four of providing free transportation between the Brighton and Downtown Campus, operating Monday through Friday when school is in session: Sept. 5-Dec. 21, 2017 and Jan. 22-May 24, 2018. Bus schedules are available at myrts.com/MCC. Please note there is not a direct route between Brighton and the New Downtown Campus, riders will change buses at the Transit Center at the Mortimer St. Shelter. Bus 55, 155 and 23-after 5pm travel between the Transit Center and Brighton Campus, Bus 5 travels between the Transit Center and the Downtown Campus.

The Rochester construction season remains active and is impacting RTS on time arrivals. Buses are on average 10-15 minutes behind schedule impacting students arrival times on campus. Construction is a seasonal issue and we hope to see some relief in October. To stay current with construction impacts on the RTS schedule we advise downloading the RTS Where's my bus app and also sign up for text messages and alerts so you know when buses are being detoured. Construction projects that are unscheduled are unfortunately not something RTS can control.

General customer questions, comments, suggestions, concerns or need to report a lost item should be directed to RTS customer service at 585-288-1700. There is an online form available on the RTS website or through the A- Z index, B for bus service at www.monroecc.edu -link is at the bottom of the page. When contacting RTS directly, you will be connected to the most appropriate person in the organization to answer your question. This also allows RTS to track trends and identify if there is a chronic problem to be addressed. RTS and MCC are in regular communication regarding any concerns received.

Common questions and concerns may be able to be answered through information sharing. Please check the Bus Service webpage, left hand navigation pane, Bus Service Information, Questions and Concerns for a list of frequently asked questions.
