Get Your Flu Shot -- it is not too late!

Flu Leads UR Medicine Hospitals to Limit Visitors

It took long enough, but flu has staked its claim in Monroe County. In response, UR Medicine will begin limiting the number of visitors at its four Rochester hospitals. Effective at noon Thursday, the following restrictions will be in effect at Strong Memorial Hospital, Highland Hospital, Golisano Children’s Hospital and Wilmot Cancer Institute:

*   No visitors younger than 14. An exception is for healthy siblings of newborns at the Family Maternity Center at Highland.
*   No more than two visitors plus one care giver at any time for each patient.
*   People who are ill with fever, coughs, sore throat and body aches are asked not to visit hospitalized patients at all.

It is not too late to get your flu shot. MCC Health Services has 75 doses remaining.  Drop in or call 292-2018 to make an appointment.  Open to all faculty, staff and students.  Protection is the best prevention!
