Political Campaign Activities

During this campaign season, we remind all employees of the necessary separation of political campaign activities from the conduct of official college business. While employees are encouraged to be civically engaged, there must be a clear separation between any political campaign activities -- defined as any activity or event designed to urge voters to vote for a particular person, support a political party, or to raise funds for a candidate or party -- and the proper discharge of their duties as public employees. Furthermore, college resources should never be used for personal activities, including political activities.
