In 2007, the United Nations resolved that April 2nd would henceforth be recognized as World Autism Awareness Day. This year, the date coincided with the MCC Spring Recess. Fortunately the entire month of April is widely celebrated as Autism Awareness Month. Throughout April, organizations across the nation hold a variety of events and educational activities to help the public learn more about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). So never fear, there is still plenty of time to participate in this year's celebration. Wear some blue, attend a fun event or two, and increase your awareness about ASD.

MCC Daily Tribune

April is Autism Awareness Month

April is here, which means it's time for rain (and/or snow) showers, cheerful flowers (any day now), and something even more exciting. If you've seen MCC buildings after dark lately, you may have noticed a mysterious aura of blue light. The lights shining on MCC this month are a beautiful blue in recognition of Autism Awareness Month.
