MCC's Honors Institute is a new college initiative that aims to provide opportunities for our many outstanding and creative teaching faculty to benefit our high-potential students by exploring new trends in their disciplines, experiment with new teaching practices, and make lasting connections between their classroom, other academic disciplines, and the Rochester community at large.
We are currenting calling for proposals from teaching faculty from across the college for new honors "Knowledge Tracks" that will run during the 2009-2011 academic years. Please see the attached Call for more information on our new Honors Institute programs, especially our Knowledge Track system that we hope will serve as a flexible template around which new, creative, and exciting “risks” and “experiments” in education can be taken.
The first deadline for new Knowledge Track proposals is FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2007.
If you have any questions about the Call for Proposals or about MCC's new Honors Institute in general, please contact Matthew Hachee at x3351 or HYPERLINK "mailto:mhachee@monroecc.edu"mhachee@monroecc.edu.
