Quotes That Inspire

Each week of living during the COVID-19 pandemic underscores how very different our new normal truly is. We can find ourselves feeling adrift, stripped of our usual rhythms. Our internal clocks are thrown off.

This week's quote suggests there is an alternative and beautiful way to frame that difference. It comes to us from MCC Provost and Vice President of Academic Services Dr. Andrea Wade. You may know that her disciplinary background is microbiology and her research focus included historical perspectives on pandemics.

As Dr. Wade noted, "The quote comes to us in the form of an Irish video, which I find particularly appropriate because our newest doctoral degree awarded in our MCC ranks is to Dr. Patrick Miller, from Ireland's University of Limerick."

Thank you for encouraging our campus community to "see empty streets as love in action," Dr. Wade.
