DCC TCC November Conversations

As part of this year’s TCC theme “Knowing Our Students,” the Damon City Campus Teaching & Creativity Center
will be exploring yet another group of students… Veterans in Our Classrooms

This conversation will be presented in two parts.  Come to one or both, whatever meets your needs.

Part 1
How many veterans are in our MCC classrooms?  What are the special needs of veterans and their spouses? How are MCC and our local community supporting these students?  Dr. Pat Taricone, a veterans specialist in the Counseling and Advisement Center, will address these issues so that participants have a better understanding of the increasing numbers of veterans in our classrooms.

When:                         Wednesday, November 11th  from 12 noon until 12:50

What are the veteran-related issues that faculty might encounter in their classrooms?  What unique  experiences do vets and their spouses bring to class?  This is an interactive session that will utilize video clips to encourage the discussion of these complex issues.
