IR's COVID-Era College-Wide Survey Results Section VIII: Office of Student Life & Leadership Development Items

As I mentioned in my Trib post on July 7, I would be sharing the results of IR's COVID-Era College-Wide Survey throughout July and August.  The following is Section VIII of XI.

Note: Because I had a margin of error of +/-3%, the following results can be generalized to the larger population of people who were sent the survey.

More than nine out of 10 respondents reported that they hadn’t attended an Office of Student Life and Leadership Development program in the past year.  The survey was administered in March 2021, so we asked about interest in virtual events rather than face-to-face ones.  The top virtual events respondents were interested in were, in order:

  • Game nights
  • Leadership leadership skills development
  • Community service projects
  • Student clubs and organizations
  • Contests.

Other programs and events respondents were interested in were, in order:

  • Student resources (e.g., academic advising, emergency grants, food pantry)
  • Financial resources (e.g., food insecurity programs)
  • Retention programs (to help students graduate from MCC).
