Career Exploration Series: Career Coach

Career Exploration is learning about various occupations and their "fit" with your unique career preferences. What are the skills, interests and values you want satisfied by your career? 

This presentation will help you to identify your Holland Codes and discover the best School Pathway for you at MCC.

Learn about Career Coach, a free, web-based career exploration tool designed to help users investigate careers. Using Career Coach, you can benchmark employee salary information with current local data on wages, job postings, and associated education and training requirements.

This presentation will also include an introduction to Skills Match. Skills Match helps you to identify your skills and receive personalized career and educational recommendations.

Applied Technologies Center Information Session: HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning)

Prospective students will learn basic information for the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) industry. Topics in the information session will include how the program is structured, earning money while you are learning, industry certifications, and a cost breakdown for the HVAC programs. Prospective students will also learn about the differences between earning a certificate and degree programs to tailor their education.

Prospective students will learn basic information for the General Motors ASEP, Toyota T10, and the Multi-Manufacturer Automotive programs. Topics in the information session will include differences in each of the programs, how each program is structured, earning money while you are learning, industry certifications, and a cost breakdown for the Auto programs. Prospective students will also learn about the differences between earning a certificate and degree, as well as the duration of the Automotive education.

Applied Technology Center: HVAC Jumpstart Program Information Session

Prospective students will learn basic information regarding the HVAC Jumpstart program. This program is a 13-credit, 10 week program that offers individuals basic skills in refrigeration, heating and electrical systems.  Topics in the information session will include how the program is structured, details about the on the job co-op as well as a cost breakdown for the program.
