Application to Begin the Clinical (Junior) Year:
Students must first apply to the College and, upon acceptance, will be directed to apply to the Wegmans School of Nursing for admission to the junior clinical year. Priority review of completed nursing applications begins April 1 (for both Fall and Spring admission). Applicants enrolled in the 2+2 program (as indicated by their MCC major) must have all documentation submitted no later than April 1 if applying to begin the program in the Fall; Spring 2+2 applicants should have all documented submitted before September. All other applicants will be reviewed on a space available basis for fall and alternatively for the spring semester. Review of completed applications will continue for both the fall and spring semesters as capacity allows.

• Students formally accepted into the 2+2 as indicated by their MCC major must achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 for admission to the clinical portion of the program.
• Grade of C or higher required in each of the seven nursing prerequisite courses listed above in BOLD and at least a cumulative prerequisite GPA of 2.4. All attempts are calculated in the pre-req GPA.
• Ethics, (PHL 103 or 250), with a grade of C or higher, must be completed prior to beginning the program.
• Cumulative GPA is calculated using all undergraduate college level course work.
• Score 84% or higher on the SJFC Math Assessment Level A exam is required (two attempts allowed).

Nursing clinical applications will be accepted and reviewed for decision on a rolling basis for fall and spring semesters as space capacity allows.

There are more transfer spots available for a Spring semester transfer than for Fall.

AP, IB, CLEP, Dual Enrollment, & Transfer courses: Credits showing as accepted by MCC may not be transferable. See: Credit Transfer Policies. Contact St. John Fisher University with questions.
