1 EDU 100 CONCENTRATION/GENERAL ELECTIVE: REQUIRED: See Concentration Listing Sheet on reverse side for required courses. Concentrations must have 18 credits at the 300-400 level at Fredonia.
Both EDU 200 & 208 must be completed to earn credit for EDU 105 and 106 at Fredonia.
Students seeking middle school extension in the sciences should plan on additional time for degree completion and should also take PSY 202 Dev Psy: Adol.

A minimum cumulative gpa of 3.0 is required by Fredonia. A minimum grade of B for EDU 200 and 208 and PSY 201 is also required by Fredonia.

If scheduling permits, all students should take EDU 125; students interested in early childhood education can also take ECE 150.
NOTE: Students who have met 7/10/30 SUNY General Education courses as indicated on their GETA will have satisfied Fredonia Foundations General Education Requirement.
NOTE: Beginning Fall 2021, students may apply a maximum of 60 transfer credits at the lower division (Fredonia equivalent courses at the 100/200 level towards their baccalaureate degree). Students may apply an additional 15 credits at the upper division (Fredonia equivalent courses at the 300/400 level towards their baccalaureate degree).

Credits showing as accepted at MCC may not be transferable. Students should meet with a representative of the four year college or the MCC Advisement and Transfer Services to determine if those credits are transferable.

Grade Point Average: In order to be fully admitted into any Initial Teacher Education Program, students must meet the following requirements: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Proof of completion of SAT, ACT, or GRE. The equivalent of EDU 105/106 (MCC EDU 200/208) Introduction to Contemporary Inclusive Education - with a grade of B or above. The equivalent of EDU 225 (MCC PSY 201) Child Development – with a grade of B or above .
NOTE:
If equivalent coursework or proof of SAT, ACT or GRE is not completed, students may be admitted to their programs conditionally. All conditions must be met at the conclusion of their first semester at Fredonia.

The Liberal Arts & Sciences: Childhood Education (Teacher Education Transfer) A.A. (EC01) will be the degree student is audited against and awarded from MCC.
Total = 65-66 credit hours required for EC34 degree. 2.00 CQPA minimum for graduation. F grades do not fulfill requirement. 24 credit hours in residence = courses completed at MCC.
