Administration & Monitoring of Local Infiltration Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Anelgesia in the Practice of Dental Hygiene

This course satisfies the state educational requirements for certification in the administration and monitoring of local infiltration anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia for dental hygienists. The course consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction (didactic component) in nitrous oxide analgesia and local infiltration anesthesia. An additional 15 hours is devoted to the clinical and laboratory component. The course curriculum in based on amendments to Regulation 52.9 of the Regulations of the commissioner of Education.
Barrier Precaution & Infection Control

This three-hour course meets the requirements of the NYS Education Department and the Department of Health for recertification of licensed professionals. Course materials and a certificate of completion is provided.
Current Concepts in Orthodontic Diagnosis and Treatment

This course encompasses Parts I & II of a 4-part series in concepts in orthodontic diagnosis and treatment related to the following areas:
- Growth and Development
- Eruption Timing of the Teeth
- Definition of the Ideal Relationship of the Adult Dentition
- Diagnosis of Problems at Various Ages Leading up to the Adult Dentition
- Problems Associated with Dysfunctional Bite
- The Extraction/Non-Extraction Decision
- The Surgical/Non-Surgical Decision
