Administration & Monitoring of Local Infiltration Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Analgesia in the Practice of Dental Hygiene

This course satisfies the state educational requirements for certification in the administration and monitoring of local infiltration anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia for dental hygienists. The course consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction (didactic component) in nitrous oxide analgesia and local infiltration anesthesia. An additional 15 hours is devoted to the clinical and laboratory component. The course curriculum in based on amendments to Regulation 52.9 of the Regulations of the commissioner of Education.

Barrier Precaution & Infection Control
(3 contact hours)
This three-hour course meets the requirements of the NYS Education Department and the Department of Health for recertification of licensed professionals. Course materials and a certificate of completion is provided.
