Pietro “Pete” Giovenco is a professional engineer and executive for Bergmann, a national architecture, engineering and planning firm, where he has worked for 30 years. Pete became the youngest project manager and associate in the firm’s history who went on to serve as the firm’s first chief operating officer. In 2017, he became the firm’s president and chief executive officer. He is constantly looking for areas of improvement in efficiency and design excellence to maintain Bergmann’s position as a market leader.
Pete gives back to the community by serving on the boards of the MCC Foundation, St. Johns Home, and Rochester Downtown Development Corporation. He is chair of the Dean’s Advisory Committee for Rochester Institute of Technology’s Saunders Business School and the American Heart Association’s 2020 Walk & Run. He is recognized as an outstanding volunteer for mentoring at the Dr. Walter Cooper Academy School.
Pete holds an MCC associate degree in civil technology, bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from RIT, and an Executive MBA from the Saunders School of Business at RIT.
