The Physics A.S. degree program prepares students to transfer and earn a Baccalaureate degree in Physics or a related area, by providing both physics and general education courses that parallel the first two years at a four-year institution.

Program Learning Outcomes

1.Solve various problems by applying a fundamental understanding of the basic principles of physics and mathematics

2.Design and conduct experiments

3.Analyze and interpret the results of experiments

4.Develop skill in using computers for data acquisition and analysis

5.Develop skill in using computers for mathematical modeling

6.Display effective presentation/communication skills
