This course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of the maintenance operations of golf courses and with an understanding of the equipment needed to operate a golf course.

Course Learning Outcomes
1. Describe different types of turf grasses
2. Identify problems with disease, insects and bacteria
3. Develop a mowing schedule
4. Describe what thatch is and the means to control it
5. Classify requirements of nutrition for turf
6. Identify professional associations
