As directed by Governor Andrew Cuomo and the State University of New York, Monroe Community College will join fellow New Yorkers in observance of the 155th anniversary of Juneteenth. This state holiday commemorates the emancipation of African Americans throughout the United States.
MCC classes are canceled and college offices will be closed on June 19, 2020 in observance of the holiday. Students and employees are encouraged to learn more about this day and reflect on its importance to our shared history.
Remote learning and working will resume on Monday, June 22.
Monroe Community College values integrity, excellence, empowerment, inclusiveness, collaboration and stewardship.
