Via the MCC Foundation, MCC will receive $50,000 in cutting-edge equipment from Gree Commercial, an air conditioner manufacturer based in China. The equipment will be housed in the HVAC/R lab in MCC’s Applied Technologies Center where students will learn the design, installation and service associated with Gree technology. Company officials recently announced the collaboration at a New York City event celebrating Gree’s U.S. operations.

“Our students will be able to get more hands-on experiences with leading HVAC technologies,” said John Troy, coordinator of MCC’s HVAC/R and machining programs, who attended the announcement. “We will be implementing the use of the Gree equipment this fall for students.”
