ASL 280 - Literary and Artistic Expression of Deafhood

This course is designed to provide students with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the deaf experience through readings and discussions of selected English Literature that reflects on the deaf experience. Students will also develop critiquing and analytical skills to recognize common themes found in visual expressions by viewing selections of Deaf Cinema, Deaf Theatre, Deaf Visual Art and ASL Literature. Three credits.
