Christy Anderson-Evans Selected for United Way Leadership Program

Congratulations to Christy Anderson-Evans ’00 for being selected for the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes’ African American Leadership Development Program (AALDP)!

Christy joined the MCC Foundation in September 2019. In her role as the Foundation’s Scholarship Coach, she helps connect scholarship recipients with on-campus and community resources that support their success. She also plays an integral role in helping to steward and thank donors for their generosity.

After a competitive application and interview process, Christy was selected to participate in this five-day training that seeks to increase the number and broaden the participation of African Americans in leadership roles in the community. The AALDP also encourages community awareness, leadership and networking in the African American community. Curriculum topics include Communication, Self-Leadership, Board Member Responsibilities, and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging.

We’re excited for Christy to have this opportunity and look forward to how her experience will positively impact the College community.
