Quotes That Inspire

On the First Friday of the month, it's once again my turn to share an inspiring quote.

Our new virus-induced, remote-work, socially distant reality could leave colleagues feeling like indeed there may be no one watching or listening. But, that is not what I am witnessing. My observation is that MCC is working together in new and expanded ways. We are seeking out connections.

Academic Services hosted a virtual Happy Hour with a contest for the most creative virtual background. Professional staff host 'best crazy hat' agenda items to kick off meetings. While this moment may not be "heaven on earth," we are celebrating and making the best of the hand we have been dealt. We are living the spirit of Bill Purkey's quote.

His quote suggests that attitude impacts reality. Your attitude, as my MCC colleagues, during this COVID-19 public health emergency is one I will look back upon with pride, honor, and respect.
