Do you create a safe and welcoming classroom environment for LGBTQ+ students? Is your office inclusive for the LGBTQ+ community at MCC?

Dina Giovanelli [AHPS], a trained Safe Zone facilitator, will lead an interactive and informative remote workshop about purposefully creating welcoming and inclusive spaces at MCC on January 19, 2022 from 2 - 4 pm.

No experience or expertise necessary. Come to learn.

Please register using the Winter Teaching Institute Eventbrite website by Wednesday, January 12, 2022.  (For accommodations: Please RSVP by January 5th, 2022).

This training is free and open to all MCC faculty and staff. Have you taken Safe Zone Training in the past? Language changes over time, as does an understanding of the complexities of human identities and sexualities. Here is an opportunity to stay up-to-date, with the most recent research and examples, in order to support your students and colleagues.
