Ketanji Brown Jackson is an American jurist who serves as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Jackson was nominated to the Supreme Court by President Joe Biden on February 25, 2022. Judge Jackson is one of our nation’s brightest legal minds and has an unusual breadth of experience in our legal system. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, then attended Harvard Law School, where she graduated cum laude and was an editor of the Harvard Law Review.
Our guest speaker; Judge Teresa D. Johnson, serves as Administrative Judge for Rochester City Court. She was first elected to the City Court bench in 1990 and was re-elected in 2001 and 2011. Judge Johnson served as Brighton Town Judge for 29 years. She earned her JD from the University of California Berkeley School of Law in 1978. Prior to joining the bench her legal career included serving as attorney with the law firm Harter, Secrest, & Emery, and working as a deputy county attorney with the Monroe County Law Department. Judge Johnson served as trial attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington D.C.
