MCC’s Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project invites you to a showing of the 2004 film Hotel Rwanda.  Based on the Rwandan genocide, which occurred during the spring of 1994, the film, which has been called an African Schindler's List, documents Paul Rusesabagina's acts to save the lives of his family and more than a thousand other refugees by providing them with shelter in the besieged Hôtel des Mille Collines.  Hotel Rwanda explores genocide, political corruption, and the repercussions of violence.  Running time is 121 minutes.  This showing includes refreshments and discussion, and is free and open to the public.
