MCC's Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project invites you to the final installment in its annual Human Rights Film Series: Chasing Smoke. The way we handle discipline, in our schools, prison and even our homes, is like throwing water on smoke. We see the smoke so we attack smoke, completely ignoring the fire that is consuming everything around us. This 2014 documentary, produced by Life Anew Restorative Justice, is an attempt to get people to look at the fire rather than just chasing smoke. Running time is 49 minutes. This showing includes refreshments and discussion, and is free and open to the public.
