This is a Profession Development event for faculty and staff from the MCC ePorfolios Team that attended the AAC&U ePortfolios Institute and is involved with the MCC ePortfolios initiative.
Pablo Avila, Associate Director of ePortfolio and Digital Learning, at LaGuardia Community College, is the Keynote Speaker sharing LaGuardia’s story and journey with ePortfolios. A panel discussion with MCC faculty and students who have created ePortfolios will follow and an afternoon workshop will allow faculty and staff to create their own ePortfolios.
Pablo has been working at the Center for Teaching and Learning since early 2010. Wearing different hats, Pablo has worked directly with students teaching them how to develop ePortfolios, with the ePortfolio Scholars program, with faculty from across disciplines, and with peer mentors as well. Most recently, Pablo has led multiple ePortfolio and Capstone professional development seminars for faculty from across the college.
